Online Service
If you have access to the internet or a smart phone, visit the practice for a username and password to give you access to book appointments online. A few appointments are made available each week to book online. You can also:
Check your booked appointments
- Cancel appointments
- Order repeat prescriptions
- Ask a question - please give 2 days for a written response
As this gives access to your medical record, please do not be offended when we ask for identification to issue a password.
Appointments
All surgeries are by appointment only. Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery between 08:00 - 18:00 or calling in person at the surgery. If a doctor of your choice is not available you will offered the earliest possible alternative.
Evening and weekend appointments now available
We are part of a scheme which is funded by the 27 practices in North Kirklees where patients from all the practices are able to book an appointment to see a doctor (male or female) at Liversedge Health Centre and Dewsbury Health Centre. This is on a first come first served basis and appointments can be booked in advance. Please tell our reception staff if one of these slots would suit you better.
Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends.
Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm.
The scheme starts in August 2019 when evening and weekend appointments will be available for any patient registered with a GP in North Kirklees. The appointments will be available in Liversedge Health Centre and Dewsbury Health Centre.
How to book an evening or weekend appointment
There are ‘pre-bookable’ and ‘on-the-day’ appointments which can be accessed through your own GP practice, or by calling the free NHS 111 phone line out of normal working hours.
Practice Nurses
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible.
Did Not Attend
Each month we have many missed appointments that could have been offered to another patient. We recognise that sometimes this is due to needing emergency care, however if you change your mind or are unable to make your appointment, please give the practice the opportunity to provide it to another patient. Call the surgery on 01924 407771 to cancel.
